Birdlife in our 1000 sqm garden in southern Germany. Spring and summer 2020.

We help with food, water for drinking/bathing and rich environment for building nests. We have 7 spots where birds find water. Some 20 houses, and some insect hotels. Lots of plants that provide shelter and food: blackthorn, hawthorn, barberry, ivy, teasels, holly, wine …

We spotten 38 different kinds of birds in our garden – though I must admit a few (buzzard, red kite, white and black storches) din’t touch down, they only crossed it while flying.
